A World of Wine Awaits You Dec. 08
Neil Rodriguez

When customers browse through the wine racks at the Wine List of Summit, the first thing that strikes them is that they are not arranged in the usual geographic order that is the norm in most, if not all other wine shops. There are, for example, Argentine wines with California, New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with those from the Loire Valley, Napa Chardonnay alongside White Burgundies, etc. Though a little disorienting at first, they soon realize the logic of it all: the wines are arranged by flavor profiles. If you are looking for a full-bodied wine to accompany grilled steak for example, you will find not just handful of California Cabs, but a plethora of wines from all over the globe that are styllistically akin.

This only one of the many unique aspects of the Wine List of Summit. Immagine having an actual sommelier advising you on food and wine pairings, or what wines to lay down for future enjoyment. Don't have a cellar? Not a problem, you can rent a locker in the Wine List's humidity and temperature controlled state-of-the-art wine cave.

Those looking for the perfect gift for any wine afficionado will have plenty of options. Be it corkscrews, glassware, or any wine accessory, The Wine List of Summit will have something for everybody. Those who wish to give the "gift of wine" would be well advised to walk to the upstairs wine vault. There you will find a virtual treasure trove of some of the world's most exotic, rarest, and collectible wines you will ever encounter. Hard-to-find boutique California "cult" wines, ancient ports, classic Bordeaux, rare Burgundies, and many other gems. Truly, a wine lover's heaven!

It is also a very "service oriented" wine shop as well; something of a rarity these days. From odering a custom basket to catered event planning, The Wine List Should be your first call. Looking for difficult-to-obtain wines or need a cellar appraisal? Once again their expert staff is at your service. It really is like having your own private sommelier.

Also seperating the Wine List of Summit from the rest of the pack are the planned cooking demonstrations by some of the most noted chefs in the country as well as wine seminars and winemaker dinners featuring many of the greatest names in winedom. On a smaller scale, an in-store wine and cheese tasting is held every Saturday between 12:00 & 1:00 p.m, allowing one to sample intersting wines that perhaps one wouldn't otherwise.

And as if all that isn't enough... plans are underway to begin accredited wine courses for those who wish to become certified sommeliers, or those who only want to expand their wine knowledge. (That certificate sure looks good on a wall though.)

In many ways, the Wine List of Summit is about the entire wine expirience. Stop by and expirience it for yourself.
