Pale yellow color with brilliant clarity. Very evident aromas of pineapple, passion fruit and melon on the nose. Fresh, crisp and clean with zesty flavours of ripe tropical fruits and zingy acidity on the palate. A beautifully balanced wine with great presence and mouthfeel.

History
Steeped in history, Nobilo wines are proudly acclaimed as some of New Zealand's most respected pioneering wine brands. The history of the company in New Zealand goes back to the early 1940's when Nikola Nobilo, whose family's winemaking history streches back over 300 years in Europe, settled in Huapai, West Auckland in the North Island of New Zealand and planted vines in 1943. The Nobilo family effectively persuaded and guided the New Zealand wine industry away from hybrid grape varieties and fortified wines, to a higher level of quality wine, now recognised and appraised by all markets. New Zealand Wine Making History The realisation of New Zealand's broad diversity of vineyard sites, and ideal viticultural growing conditions, for the creation of outstanding wines from this distinctive cool climate, came relatively late. Early Croatian settlers driven by their desire to create and enjoy a drink more acceptable to their traditional European palates, than the chosen beverage of their newly adopted country, planted grapes and made wine. It is arguably most unlikely that they had any intention of founding a commercial wine industry. The overall unsuitability of grape growing in most of the West Auckland properties where the majority of them settled, would bear testimony to this. But this was a viticultural technicality unknown to them in those uncertain times. Survival was of paramount importance. With the passage of time, however, the early 1970's ushered in a whole new awareness of grape growing for quality wine production in New Zealand. The search was on for more suitable vineyard sites away from Auckland. This coincided with the move away from the consumption of fortified wine, and the emerging love affair of consumers in the 1980's with the classic varieties of the world.
